The technique with a thousand year history.
Utopia is most associated with our batik designs. One of the most developed art techniques from Asia, each piece of batik varies and the material is not mass produced.

Batik – An Indonesian word, refers to a generic wax-resist dyeing technique used on textile. The word originates from Javanese word “amba”, meaning “to write” and the Javanese word for dot or point, “titik”. Usually colourful with vivid prints, the multihued textile is versatile and comfortable to wear, yet full of character and different.

Fused with influences from other cultures, the Indonesian batik material is manufactured into mandarin cheongsams, french corsets, japanese kimonos and more. With handiwork embellishments, each garment varies, creating a unique style in every piece.
